About Me

My Photo
Jackson Bridge, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom
1996 – 1998 Royal College of Art, London MA Printmaking. 1992 – 1996 University of Reading BA Fine Art. I began printing again and working as a professional artist three years ago after a long break. I exhibit extensively in the UK as well as selling my work all over the world. I won the 2010 'Flourish Award' for excellence in printmaking - and have been nominated for printmaker of the year at 'PRINTFEST' this spring. I am also working towards a solo show at the Duckett and Jeffrey gallery in may. I have just been offered my first international solo show in the USA later in the year.

Artist Statement

I use screen printing processes to produce crisp and uncluttered images that draw inspiration from a wide variety of sources.

I often refer to shadows, reflections, or the spaces in-between things, I love to explore intangible negative spaces.

Characteristic of my work is the emphasis on shape, colour and simplicity. I enjoy the process of carefully building up images with layers of solid flat colours to explore shape and form, sometimes adding painterly marks, stripes or textures.
