Every August I head for northern Tuscany to meet up with my lovely

sister who lives in Italy. It's hard not to notice the beautiful

faded plasterwork all over the city of Lucca. Hidden hints of old frescos

 peeping through walls and ceilings with beautiful shapes and patterns.

 The colours are so pretty everywhere.  When time permits  I will be working

 on new drawings and prints inspired by my recent discoveries.

'Round Up'

 My latest print and one of many colours! I don't often print seventeen colours on one print, but I plan to try and do more of them. It's a labour of love as each colour is applied separately by hand and then left to dry before the next colour can be applied. It's slow going but pretty satisfying.

 I've been printing non stop since the beginning of January,  trying to make some work for myself - by that I mean work that I have wanted to do for ages and never had the time to do!
